Primary methods:
Interviewing a producer of a music TV show (Shelia Nevins).

disadvantage: opinion's will be biased, hard to access
Textual analysis of a studio.
advantage: it is your own research
disadvantage: time consuming
Survey about contents of a studio (survey monkey):
advantage: cheap, easy to access
disadvantage: you don't know if you are sending it to the right people or if what they are telling you is true.
Secondary methods:
Books about different parts of a studio (rockschool music productions).
advantage: written professional
disadvantage: expensive
News article about a studio and different locations where a tv music video would be filmed (MTV News)
advantage: existing TV channel
disadvantage: show a limited perspective
Social media (twitter - demi lovato)
advantage: accessible
disadvantage: not ethical, biased
Some clips of locations which i have researched for secondary research that are shown on a music television programme are Glastonbury, music awards show, Leeds Festivals and also Fusion festival, which are all shown on mtv news. all these locations have been shown/featured on the music channel or the news channel about music. For example MTV news UK talk about the Glastonbury festival, the location of the festival and how they set up and prepare for the festival. The location which MTV use to film their news about music television is in london, as they have studios for all sorts of different productions. This is because London is easily accessible to producers as the majority of towns and city have a train which go to London, as well as majority of the UK presenters and artists are from around the south area.
